Caregiver Program
Canada is a country that recognizes the important work carried out by caregivers. These are the workers who provide support to our children, the elderly, and others in need of care. For this reason, Canada currently runs two programs to help caregivers find work and obtain permanent residence.
Home Child Care Provider Pilot
This program is designed to bring workers with experience as child caregivers (NOC 4411) to Canada, providing temporary work permits with the possibility of applying for permanent residence after gaining sufficient work experience. Applications for this program opened on June 18, 2019, with a maximum of 2,750 applicants (and their immediate family members) approved per year.

Home Support Worker Pilot
This program is designed to bring workers with experience as home support workers (NOC 4412) to Canada with a temporary work permit, with the possibility of applying for permanent residence after gaining sufficient work experience. Applications for this program opened on June 18, 2019, with a maximum of 2,750 applicants (and their immediate family members) approved per year.
